Today I spent my day doing some homework, which was on Legitimate Power (fun fun ;) ) and baking! So here are the recipes that I made today and they were scrumptious!
Blondies (My all time favorite!)
1 stick of butter, melted and cooled
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butterscotch chips
Start of by whisking brown sugar and butter, combine egg and vanilla, fold in the remaining dry ingredients. Then pour in chips and pour mixture into greased, parchment lined 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, enjoy!
Also, I made some of my very first attempt at Snickerdoodles!
Makes approx. 4 dozen
1 cup butter, softened
1 and 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (I use Mexican vanilla but any kind will work)
2 and 3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp cinnamon and 3 tsp white sugar (can be brown) for rolling
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Stir dry ingredients together in separate bowl and add to creamed mixture. Chill for 20-30 min. Roll into Tablespoon size balls and then toss in the cinnamon/sugar mixture, coating the dough evenly. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned but soft.
So there ya have it, the day in the life of me, a baking wife! I am seriously obsessed with baking lol! God Bless you all this fourth of July and have a wonderful week!

SC in pictures!
Our trip to SC in pictures! :D
Jacob Graduated!! Yay! And it's the last Drake child to finish home-schooling, good job Karla!
We played golf and Josh was a smartie pants! :P
But I was just proud of my purple ball... it gave me good luck to place LAST! lol
We went to the zoo and this little guy was my favorite! Koala bear! Awww they are so cuddly!
We fed the goats, yes I love goats
The way giraffes sit down is pretty cool, they don't seem as big, do they?
Meerkats are adorable, I wish I could keep one!
I LOVE SEATURTLES! That's pretty much all I have to say about them :)
I made muffins with the berries we picked on Josh's family's land! They were so yummy!
And of course I had to stop at Chick-Fil-A before we left. It is one of the best parts of the South!
So there ya have it, our trip in pictures! God is very good to allow us all the opportunities we have :) We had a great time with family and now I write this in the last hour of my vacation. Alas, I am headed to work in an hr. :( All good things do come to an end though! Happy week!

Summer Lovein
Hello All! It's been a while (again) and here's an update.
- We just got back from SC on thursday. We visited Josh's family to see Jacob graduate! We love him so much and are so proud of him. Our activities included: Shopping, exploring his family's new property, eating out, games, and the ZOO! I loved it so much, I saw koala bears, meerkats, turtles, sea turtles, goats, etc. These all being my favorites lol.
- A few months ago we bought a JEEP! I love my Jeep Liberty, his name is Samson and he is perfect, lol I love the power.
- At work I got a new manager, again, geez louise our management keeps changing, is the company ever happy?
- I have been in a baking craze lately and love it! I just formulated and made a lemon icebox cake. It is delicious!
- I am so addicted to pinterest it is carazzzzy!
-I am learning that family is so much more important than we ever imagine. So are good friends, they hold you together like glue and comfort you in the tough times. There is nothing better for a relationship than for you to go through tough times together.
-Marriage is hard, but so rewarding. God knew a lot when He made this sort of thing ya know! I love Josh and there is nothing better than being with your best friend every day.
- The summer is gorgeous around here, not very hot. Why aren't we doing more outdoors? I want kayaks so bad! :P
There is our life in a nutshell. Keep us in our prayers as we continue on our journey with each other, complicated life, and the precious Lord. There's no greater love than this! -Alicia :)

What a long time!
Wow has it been a long time!! I'm married now! Josh is amazing, God is perfect and our life is happy! I just wanted to post here again so I can begin this blog again. I'm currently still a decorator and Josh works at Sykes. We live in Ridgeview with our little Ivy and it's perfect for us.
One thing I have learned lately is that your ministry never ends. Everyday when you walk out the door, when your smile at someone and when you see you're neighbor, you are a witness for the Lord. Do not take these times for granted, fulfill the great commission. As a wife, student, and decorator my life is nuts so if you need someone to talk to I am here, I understand! Don't let the devil win. Find what the Lord has for you in the way of ministry and grab hold of it! We all have something, what is yours? <3

Don't take this day for granted.
Don't take this day for granted, live the life God wants you to live. Be the person he wants you to be and love the people he wants you to love (which by the way is everyone ;) ) We need to get out there and preach the good news before it's too late. May we do what we can do before He returns to take us home. May God give ME the motivation to speak when sometimes, I just downright don't feel like it. When it seems like such a hassle, or when it seems pointless may I remember that it is NOT pointless. Everyone has a role in someone's life and may we be a great example of Christ in faith and love. <3 Goal for this year: don't be afraid or second guess yourself.

So True!
When we think about our life, the place we are at may not be where we want to be. It may not be where we planned on being. Or it might be just where we want to be. Either way, it doesn't matter as long as we are following God's Will for our lives. This song made me cry. It is so true, this is only our temporary home. Make the best of it, live life to the fullest, be an example of Christ. But know that it's only just a chapter, no, it's even less than that. It's maybe a a page in our complete journey. A friend once told me her mom said "You can do anything for __x__ amount of days!!" (you fill in the blank with however long you have to go) So why don't we tell ourselves that about our time here on earth? "I can serve God for ALL MY days!" :) Just some food for thought. I hope this song touches you like it does me!
~Love, Me
