Sometimes God puts someone awesome into your life, someone that makes you want to be a better you, inspires you to seek God's face every waking moment. I have someone in my life like that right now, and lans sakes its' refreshing. Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me yet again another blessing I don't deserve. What a mighty God we serve.

Thanksgiving Week

What did I do for Thanksgiving you ask?

The week started Saturday at the Remembrance Days ball in Gettysburg :)

Continued to...

Meeting my online friend-fellow Gibson Girl DAWN!! (She's awesome, but I HATE this picture of me lol)

Then....

The great collaborative efforts of Jen Weidman and Alicia Robbins, Turkey Cake style. Ah the requests we get. We actually hate this cake so do not think I am boasting of our talents, this is actually a horrible portrayal of our ability, it was just so hilarious I had to post it. Bahahaha! I mean who asks for a turkey on a 6 yr. old little girls cake?! For real.... ;)

Then...
Yep, somebody had to be in the Bakery, and I was makein the pies, I learn something new every day!

My Thanksgiving was good this year. What am I Thankful for? I do not know where to begin....

My Lord and Savior, His Word, Family, Friends, My education, My Job, My life, Dance Lessons, My cat, blankets, pillows, coffee, music, movies, board games, cute shoes, cute purses, black friday, shopping, My laptop, jewelry, baking, candy, cheesecake!, my messy room, my car, the grass, the sky, the night sky, the trees, the snow on thanksgiving, rainy days, youtube, livejournal, facebook (even though it WILL be the death of me), my professors because they are truly some of the most awesome Godly men I have ever met and I feel blessed just to learn from them, and air, yes I am thankful for air.

Well that is definitely a little glimpse into my Thanksgiving and as you can see I am very thankful! To everyone still on break, your very lucky, have fun!

Because this is totally something I would do...

I thought you'd all get a good laugh out of this, I know I sure do every time I watch it! ;)  (I have the most horrible time recalling verse references so I can completely relate to this!!)

Water God's People

I was at work the other day and I went up to our break room for lunch. I sat down and pulled out my school work (my Bible and my text book). When a guy sitting next to me blurted out “Is that a Bible!?” ( I was shocked and also bracing myself for what was to follow that sentence). “Yes it is” I said. “I haven’t seen one of those in  a long time!! But I do have one!” and then the man sitting across from me said “I had this old tattered new testament Bible but it finally just fell to shreds. So then I was at the fair and they were handing them out and I was so excited because I didn’t think you  could buy them any old place”. Then we continued to talk about Christian singers and comedians, etc.

The point of my story is this. Just when you think the whole world is ignorant they really are not. These people that I was talking with were THE LAST people who I thought truly cared about things such as Bibles. I do not know how their lives match up with them liking the Bible but that is unimportant. Just when you think nothing will save someone know they could have already had that seed planted, it even may have been watered. Whatever step you yourself are performing it is crucial, A harvest is only completed by planting, watering, and gathering.

We need to never forget that what we do and how we act, if we claim to be a follower of Christ, is a testimony to every person we come across. This reminded me of that and I am sure it was God ordained. I need to be reminded daily that I am a representative. It is so easy to stumble off track and not even realize what your doing. Now get out there and water God’s people!! ;)

He's Blessing You

This is my Blessing, whoever would have known the two awesome ladies I met because God  had me go to school a semester late. He is Awesome.
I have heard a quote lately that I cannot get off my mind-

"God is Blessing you in ways you can't even see or imagine"

Doesn't this just strike a cord? To know that the reason your tire went flat today was all for a plan. The reason you got up late was maybe so you would bump into that old friend of yours. The reason you accidently called the wrong phone number when calling the dentist was so you could touch that "miscalled" person's life and vice versa. There are so many reasons why things happen that we have no idea of. And we probably never will, we will never see the connection of things like a domino effect. But just know He is the one orchestrating the entire act.

So many people say that Blessings are such things    as babies or monetary gifts, but Blessings can come in smaller or bigger packages. It is what God wants to give you at that moment of your life, to reach out and grasp for you, to let you know He is still watching you and loves you and every time something bad happens it is not in vane. He will not give you more than you can handle. We hear this all the time but it becomes true because we can do all things through Him and if you think you can't handle it, reach for Him and He will guide your hands.
